Perhaps there should be?

Started The Supernova Era by Cixin Liu (3 Body Problem) this week. Loving the concept, although quite a look of disbelief had to be consciously suspended at the start.

This targets porn where one or more people “pretend to be under 18”… which doesn’t exist anyway, right? My knowledge is not extensive, but anecdotally, I have never seen that

Please expand on this “ChatGPT completing thought” business. They just show you the result? Or read it to you? Can you give an example please? I’m really struggling to come to terms with this 😅

I use mastodon, but would like to find a non-lib instance to share my witty observations on.

I appreciate this question was asked a few years ago, and it seems like some of the suggested servers are now down or not great, so I think it’s time for an update.

The Lost World by Arthur Conan Doyle. Loved one of the adaptations when I was a kid, so I thought I’d give this a shot. It’s okay, at 75% through, it’s heading for 3/5

I self host RYOT. It is a great addition of to my homelab and helps to keep data off of cloud services that sell my data.

Now I know there is a fourth coming out I will! Thanks!

The second was the worst for me: not bad, but a bit up itself in places.

I finished Children of Memory the other day. 4/5. Solid sci-fi, different to the first 2 books in the trilogy. But of a trip with how it unfolds, and well executed I think.

Also been listening to the audiobook version of John Lee Anderson’s biography of Che Guevara. This is much more entertaining than I expected and very well written (and read). Just getting on to the Cuban Missile Crisis with about 1/3 left to go.
