Cleaner Wrasse are conscious according to the mirror test. No one would call those fish intelligent. They are smart enough, but they are only self-conscious enough to recognize themselves in a reflection to help remove parasites.

Nothing in the Turing Test proves intelligence. Sounding human is so easy, a chat bot that pretends to be a scared little boy was the first to complete it, way back in 2014. Assuming that fooling a human is hard is even less convincing.

When we try to solve any of them, they literally send the military at us. Which is federally illegal, but you know, rules for us, not for them.

The bigger problem is the lack of communication on the subject leading to these kinda puritanical "sexual desire is bad and makes you do bad things" take that made Kellogg try to kill libido with corn flakes.

I think people need to discuss sexuality in non sexual contexts more often. It needs to be considered less taboo and less explicit when specifically discussing sexual health, which is actually important to discuss. I'm largely asexual, and honest conversations earlier in my life would have helped a lot, because I never understood a lot of the things you point out in media. I know just how much my view differs thanks to conversations with someone with diagnosed hypersexuality whom I think of as a close friend.

The best uses I've seen are blind person aides. Scene understanding and OCR for disability aides. The OCR doesn't have to be LLMs, but a system that combines the two effectively is useful.

There is merit to sitting an LLM in front of an expert system to act as an intermediate, but the LLM shouldn't be doing any "thinking." It should only translate results.
