What I meant was that I think the initial enthusiasm towards the product will go way beyond the people considering getting a steam machine and wouldn't think it odd for there to be some "sold out, next batch arriving in x" moments
I don't know anyone who intends to buy a steam machine but I know a lot of people who intend to buy the steam controller. Now this is just my experience in my circles, but I wouldn't think it's a rare thing.
This is what I've been theorizing and hoping would be the case, and I feel like valve deserves a W like that coming in hot when gamers need it most.

EndeavourOS cause I wanted to instantly hop arch from windows but am also lazy 🦥
Ermmm that's really not needed, there are distros that barely require you to ever open the terminal
It's been about two months, smooth sailing so far. No regrets. Running EndeavourOS with KDE Plasma, blender, reaper, steam and GoG, discord and a web app to use whatsapp. Have not missed windows one bit. I'm slowly learning more as I go, but so far the much boogified Arch has been easy to get going with Endeavour, and I haven't run into any unmanageable problems so far.
I simply adore that the only programs on my PC are ones that I want on it.
Arch was described as hard mode but I installed EndeavourOS with KDE Plasma about a month and a half ago and it's been smooth sailing. Given all the programs I use have native linux clients and I don't play kernel level anti-cheat games at all.
Wholly depends on the types of games you play, personally I don't play competetive type online multiplayer games that require kernel level anti-cheat access and as such, I've had zero issues with gaming. Running EndeavourOS with KDE Plasma.
Wait, you're supposed to get married before you do this?
