This isn't buying land to build something, they can tolerate people not taking it In the end some people got more money only because the actual value of the land increased because it was unllivable but people could watch SpaceX launches. People can still use any of the Gpu cloud renting stuff/mining to sell their Gpu function so it can still be utilized efficiently. It doesn't have to be all or nothing.

You can't hoard stuff that becomes obsolete every 2 to 3 years. The price will still fall drastically every generation for a while.
