I mean, people want healthcare and education and affordable housing and food. People don't want foreign wars of choice. So... maybe? 😅

Sending humans to Mars is morally wrong.
There is a small chance that there is some other independent origin of life. Sending humans there with our clouds of microbes would make it impossible to discover.
We should wait until we've properly inspected it with sterilized robots. I figure this might take a few hundred years, but there's no hurry. It's not like Mars is going away.

Europeans often ask me how Americans know when they should use sick leave. Like, how do I know if I'm going to be more suck later and need it more then? And what if I am sick more than I have leave?
I don't really know what to tell them. My glib answer is, "you lose your job, your insurance, get kicked out of your home, and probably die".

So I'm not really sure what the US has to do with Ukraine's success or failure any more, except Trump wanting to be seen as a "winner" so warming to Zelensky as Ukraine starts to get more effective at destroying Russian war infrastructure.
I don't think that it's the color that is the problem for the parents, but what the colors represent.
