NostraDavid's Warcraft Credit Visualizer

I wanted to check who worked on what World of Warcraft game, so I've vibe-coded this together, over the years. Not the data though - I didn't want hallucinated data.

Anyway, turns that one person worked on all the games: Glenn Stafford - the absolutely musical legend!

IIRC, they'll add new books every year, as older books slowly become Public Domain, so classics like a bunch of Tarzan books (though not all of them, yet) have become available.

Also, for those that don't get the name: Johannes Gutenberg invented the printing press that was much better than existing presses (and pretty new to Europe).

The club isn’t allowing women to be present at all

So you're saying women should be allowed, we should ask them not to speak while at the club... Are you sure you're not Republican or something?

It’s like the discussion about if you can be racist toward white people.

Depends on whether you're using the common definition, or intersectional feminist jargon. That is literally the distinction.

Common definitions:

prejudice, discrimination, or hostility directed at people because of their race or ethnicity.

Intersectional feminist jargon:

Racism is racial oppression embedded in social structures and power relations, often operating together with patriarchy and other systems of domination.

PS: Race isn't real. Not even a social construct: it's straight up an arbitrary line drawn by a bunch of ignorant assholes, for the sake of being assholes. Ethnicities are real though.

I really can’t figure out a cohesive statement.

"Fragile men are fragile" seems to be the statement.

Power dynamics may affect the scale and context of harm, but they do not make group-based contempt morally sound. If you object to demeaning people for belonging to a group, that standard must be general. Otherwise, you are not opposing prejudice, but are rationing sympathy instead.

I HATE tight pants.

Just buy bigger pants? Issue solved, right?

TERFs just accelerated what was already there.

I’d tell them “we’ll start a men’s shelter”.

Never forget Earl Silverman

Earl died by suicide on April 26, 2013, shortly after selling the shelter due to bankruptcy and ridicule.[5][6][7]

"Feminism is for Everybody" is a lie, and Earl's life proves it.

This shit still pisses me the fuck off.

I was thinking along the line of them yoinking the guac right from under your nose, even if you weren't finished yet.

PyPI stats 2026 (blog.piwheels.org)

I saw that PiWheels posted their PyPI (pronounced pie-pee-eye, not pie-pie as that's the JIT interpreter) article, showing off some neato stats, like the longest PyPI package names, and such.

Ladybird, the browser from SerentityOS, now has a non-profit behind it! The guy in the video is not Andreas, but Chris Wanstrath (former CEO from Github), and he's pumping some financial backing into this non-profit.

I for one am happy we're getting an alternative to the Chrome/Firefox duality we're stuck with.
