I really hate when car makers take an older make and completely ruin it's style. If they made a remake of the gen 2 (hell, even a gen 1) eclipse that didn't have trash specs, I'd buy one. I love those cars. Pretending a Nissan leaf is the worthy of the eclipse name is just sad.

This is a fair point. Having it stationary often, and for long periods helps its case. The range increase is basically an tiny side benefit.
I thought we went over this with fiskar. Having solar on a car seems mostly gimmicky, since the amount it generates per unit area is fairly negligible compared to what vehicles need to move. Unless the car is hyper efficient, I can't imagine the claimed gains on range are actually real.
Sure, but this is also basically a top model performance version of the ioniq 5, which starts at 35k. That's closer to a reasonable number.
I agree, though low in the context of an EV would be pointless until you just want the acceleration curve to be different for some reason
It really wouldn't be crazy. The polestar 2 has a physical shifter and acts exactly like you'd expect from a shifter. You bump it forward to put it in reverse, and pull back on it to put it in drive. You can shift both directions while rolling slightly, which is actually really nice and useful. I think I tried shifting while it was driving and it likely has a software limit to the speed at which it let's you shift while rolling (above 5 mph for example). I think only going from drive to reverse requires touching the brake, similar to a standard automatic.
Not sure why you'd assume I'm a liberal, but it really doesn't matter. I agree that both parties suck and the whole thing needs to be overhauled, but to say both parties are the same is just plain false. One is obviously worse than the other, and acknowledging that doesn't mean I want either party. Until we have some revolution, harm reduction is still a valid option.
You see two meals in front of you. One is a chicken sandwich with fries. The chicken looks undercooked and might give you food poisoning and the fries are colorless and cold. The other meal is hard to recognize because the battery acid on the plate dissolved most of the food and some of the razerwire, but most of the shards of glass are still there. You look back and forth and conclude: "Yeah, these are exactly the same"
Sad, but not surprising
English is my primary, so that does make it easier. I use it for general conversion things, like asking it questions about the Titanic or making up a new story or something. It doesn't work as well as I'd like yet, but like I said, it's just an other thing for me to mess around with and change.
