With that many players, you'll run into the issue that most of them aren't really doing anything most of the time. I'm not sure if there's a system that manages to resolve this issue, or how you would even go about doing that.

In that case the Egg Bond system is the one at fault. Technicalities about different headmates doesn't excuse being a dick out of the game.

One of the other players is really bothered by Egg James Bond out of game, because Egg James Bond is a complete A-hole. She’s mean, petty, doesn’t respect women, etc.

It depends because official magic item prices are vague and bad, but Sane Magic Item Pricing has items that go up to 165,000gp and considers the staff of the magi too powerful to price.
