Die Überschrift ist hält mal völlig daneben. Die in dem Paper genannte eml Funktion ist hinsichtlich der numeric sehr herausfordernd. Und wird bei zahlen über ~800 gar nicht mehr auf normalen rechnern zu berechnen sein

Ich will darauf hinaus, dass wenn ein Wechslstromgenerator bereits am Netz hängt, er zwangsläufig Netzsynchron ist. Ob er Energie ins jetzt abgiebt oder aufnimmt, hängt alleinig an der Phsendifferenz zwischen Netz und Rotor. Läuft der Generator dem Netz vorraus speist er Energie ein und umgekehrt.

Was auch noch sehr (zeit)aufwendig ist die Synchronisierung mit dem Netz. Der entstehende Wechselstrom muss auf die exakte Netzfrequenz eingestellt werden.

Warum kann man die Turbinen nicht einfach am Netz lassen? Die würden dann halt anstatt mit Dampf dann vom Netz angetrieben werden. So würde das Kraftwerk in Zeiten negativer Energiepreise ja auch Geld verdienen und Netztschwankungen stabilisieren. Aber warum zwingend eine Synchronisation erforderlich ist erschließt sich mir nicht

The isolation Russia is a direct response to the 2022 invasion. Before that, Russia was a member of the G8, a massive / main energy partner to Europe, and widely integrated into the global economy. Those bonds where cut after the invasion, not before.

Regarding you second question: I don't see many other options for the Ukrainian government. The tragedy of forced mobilization on both sides is clear, but the responsibility for that tragedy is by the party that made mobilization necessary in the first place.
