I would be more optimistic about that, but after Afghanistan, Iraq, Hurricane Katrina, and many other incidents, the EXACT same thing was being said about Bush killing the party... And yet here we are.

Congratulations, that's a great accomplishment! Hopefully you are able to hit 4 months, then 4 years, then 4 decades.

That process gave you more technical troubleshooting experience than 98% of my coworkers would ever try.

I agree, trying to optimize gains on every dollar sounds great until one overdraft fee knocks out years of work.

Yeah, I have not given Sony a dime since they thought they could install malware on consumer computers. When they got caught, they doubled down and released a "fix" that was even worse malware. FUCK Sony.

I clicked the link just to get a brief look at this video and ended up watching the whole thing and subscribing to Benn Jordan. Thank you for sharing!

While that may be true, for some of us the simple IDEA of maybe needing to do something in the future that you might mess up is demotivating enough to prevent action. For that reason and many others, I appreciate people like you who make things happen.

Reddit greatly benefitted from the DIGG implosion (Reasons include issues with power users, censorship, redesigns, etc.) around I want to say 2012 +/-. Similar to how this site benefitted from the Reddit API implosion the other year. For social media applications, success usual comes from a halfway-decent platform + lucky timing. (This is all from memory, so apologies for any inaccuracies and generalizations.)
