I think four day weekends should be the norm.

Not a tank in the Main Battle Tank sense, which is what I’d consider a tank. I can’t identify the platform from the picture, though.

I wouldn’t attempt to fire anything through that “barrel“, and that “turret” wouldn’t be a place to be in under any sort of hostile activity, trebuchet shots or otherwise.

I needed to travel for work, which I’m not at all keen to do these days. I never sleep well in hotels, so the weekend has mostly been recovering. I did get my car washed and various bits and pieces done in the garden, so that was nice.

Our dogs have decided to start howling when the ice cream van comes to our street. A serenade, if you like.

I guess this post could go to the UK Public Transport community, but in reality this particular clusterfuck (among many others) belongs firmly to the Tories, so UK Politics it is.

May the Tories never escape the blame for truly shocking ineptitude with HS2. Their Government's early decisions in setting targets for the program (e.g. fastest train service in Europe) followed by political wrangling about the route with Tory heartlands have cost the UK tax payer tens of billions.

Indeed. Twisting those pins to a male port, with good pin contact and not touching adjacent pins, would be a feat I’d like to see. OP’s picture is just par for the course.

Now lets see the same hack but for the port above.

If you are making a cake, after baking the sponge layers and letting the cool down, maybe not leave them where the dogs can reach them when you leave the kitchen.

Nothing that a bit more buttercream can’t fix, mind.

Work after a week off is always busier catching up with things. By Tuesday afternoon I felt in need of another break. By the end of the week things were back to normal and the brief break long forgotten. On with the grind it is.

How was your week?

I was off work, which was great. Even better, we saw Alter Bridge on Wednesday.

The setlist was awesome and they played great, as usual. When the first notes of Silent Divide hit in the beginning, every single hair in my arms was standing straight. On the downside, now I’ve had an ear worm since the concert.

Oof. That’s worse than suboptimal!

Calm down, kids. These issues were resolved a longtime ago by ASN.1

I’ve been intending to cut the grass, but I’m worried the lawnmower will sink if I try. It’s been raining that much.

Forgot to mention, I will offer Ardbeg Uigeadail as a preparatory sedative. The only condition is you need to take it neat.

I came across this beauty today. Not only was the car placement immaculate, but it was also camouflaged, all in one sweeping movement. That is handy when driving a stolen vehicle, probably, and in a hurry to move on.

Stop, it’s for… (sigh) buses only

Myles enjoying the warmth of the fire. Beign a Spanish water dog, he is most comfortable with muddy puddles, but today he needed the warmth.

There is simply no excuse for his thumb in the eye. He deserves a very lengthy ban.

I think we have here a perfect case for a community service order: wheelbarrow, shovel, off you go.

I’m struggling to see the downside of a few betting shops going under.

After several weekends and evenings of toiling my new BBQ setup is finally ready. Just in time for the thunderstorms!

Larry has been a constant fixture of politics and UK foreign relations for a fair while. Just today he was part of the UK-France discourse.

I think he deserves a state funeral when he eventually passes. Should we create a parliamentary petiton?

What a way for Black Sabbath to bow out. Were you there or watch the stream? What did you think?
