Can’t because you aren’t allowed to? What sort of fucked up household do you live in where you’re forced to comment on things without any knowledge of what you’re saying AND your mom or whoever takes your phone away if you attempt to look for answers? Smh Germany really is in a sorry state. I’d suggest leaving that oppressive regime as soon as possible.

In before “how were we supposed to know the candidate who Pelosi backed would lie about this?”

Maybe you should’ve done the bare minimum research to know what was being talked about before inserting yourself into a meta commentary about the event. No investigation, no right to speak.

The issue is you don’t know what happened.

He was shot in his car and he was immediately taken to the hospital. He was stopped from dying only to be abducted and transferred to an ICE facility with far worse medical care capabilities.

Spinning yarn. Fiber arts in general, but spinning is very low effort. It keeps your hands busy while you watch something on TV (or if you're waiting in a waiting room) so you don't feel the urge to grab your phone. Drop spindles are also very affordable and probably the best way to learn. You could spin wool roving or top. You could also go forage a ton of wild nettle (do that it in the winter so it doesn't sting), process the nettle, then spin that. Or you could get into the dying process, which is super fun. It's an entire rabbit hole.

The fun thing is you can use the product of the low effort hobby in higher effort hobbies like weaving. And once you get fabric from weaving on a rigid heddle or floor/table loom, you can amp up the effort even more in following a pattern and sewing things from that fabric. Or just hang it and look at it.

I'm thirding the Supernote. I use my Nomad almost every single day. I also get to use my favorite pen shape with it since the Lamy Safari has an EMR variation. Being able to link notes to other notes almost feels like a better version of Obsidian if you like handwriting and sketching (though it's obviously not as fast to link compared to Obsidian because hotkeys on a computer are faster than using a pen on a slow-ish e-ink display). I also use it to read and take notes on ebooks.

Saint Peter, of course, being the gothiest of them all being crucified on an inverted cross.

You’re right. The sacrifice and martyrdom is a huge part of being a Christian (which is likely why the cross is used). I’m not sure how I had forgotten that a huge theme among Christians is self sacrifice and Jesus dying for our sins.

But what makes Jesus special, at least from my perspective, wasn’t that he was martyred since others in the Bible were as well. It was the claim he was the son of god offering to save us from damnation, which is validated by the resurrection. Idk I think I just find the cross kind of macabre as a symbol of religion (and as a tool of punishment in general of course). Back when I was a Christian decades ago, I was also anti-cross lol

Jesus' body being taken down from the cross by people isn't proof of resurrection though. There's a lot of places jesus isn't anymore, but the tomb is the one place he was supposed to remain. I assume every body that is crucified is taken down eventually (though I may be wrong about this- I'm not sure how weary people were about the public safety risks of a rotting body near society back then). I think the cross and crucifix are used symbolically over the tomb because Christians, to see themselves in Jesus, must pair themselves to the idea that they will be tortured for their beliefs.

Christians had a ton of symbolism to choose from (rainbow, fish, tomb, donkey, feet etc.) and they chose the one that will definitely give Jesus PTSD if he has a second coming.

I’ve wondered if Jesus was killed via guillotine, if people would be wearing little gold guillotines around their neck.

I’m not a Christian, but I think symbolically, his torture wasn’t the important part, but the rising from the dead thing. So why not have a solid circle 🔴(stone) offset from a circular ring ⭕️, referencing that whole “stone was rolled away from the tomb because resurrection” thing?

I have a board game friend who is very into Behind the Bastards and has recently been using accelerationism out of nowhere. Not sure if behind the bastards is the cause for sure though since I don't listen to it.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN DECONSTRUCT THE MURDER PLANET? You're basically calling for a genocide of all of us Death Starians!! Just because we're almost as bad as those evil Alderaanians now doesn't mean the death star can't be reformed with a nicer ruler in charge of the planet destroying beams! SMH you're probably just a bot from Naboo. WHAT DO YOU MEAN THE DEATH STAR WAS NEVER THE GOOD GUY"
