Vou chamar a atenção para as linguagens Lua e Elixir, bastante utilizadas em seus determinados nichos, feitas por pessoas do Rio e São Paulo respectivamente. Ambas open source.

Outro que tá na lista mas eu não sabia que era de um Brazuka foi o Neovim, o fork mais conhecido e usado do vim por aí.

Tenho certeza que tem mais. Vários desses projetos que surgiram na europa podem ter algum dedo de brasileiro por baixo dos panos que é pouco divulgado.

System themes, probably most of them work. But most of them don't bother watching the user themes or icons folder.

I don't think Flatseal is that useful for the majority of users, no. But it is a good tool to have in mind when the need arises.

It is mostly trial and error. I use it mostly to set envvars.

As an example, I add the ~/.themes folder and the GTK_THEME to allow some apps to get the themes I downloaded.

About the image: The joke's on you, I install my flatpaks via the terminal.

I've started using flatpaks more after starting using Bazzite and I liked them more than I expected. As a dev, I still need my work tools to be native, but most of my other needs are well covered by flatpaks.

Tip: Flatseal is a great config manager for flatpaks' permissions.

I remember seeing somewhere that you can know the handedness of an elephant by looking at its tusks. The smaller tusk is the one that is used the most.

Como alguém que tá chegando nos 40, e teve a infância marcada por Kamen Rider e tokusatsu de maneira geral, tô intrigado com essa história.

I used to 17 when I was in my hometown (tropical beach city).

I love the fact that "Ninja Cat" was used as a mascot for Windows 10 Insiders back in the day. Makes the meme even better to me.

Hello fellow devs.

I'm in need of a new machine as I had a little mishap with my notebook. For a long time, I thought on buying a gaming notebook as normally they should have the best hardware for my personal (gaming, light video edit) and professional (full stack web dev) needs.

Next week, Asus will launch the ROG Ally X officially on my country. So, I'm wondering if it could be a viable alternative.
The other possible devices would be ROG Ally (Z1 Extreme) and Lenovo Legion Go, as Steam Deck is not available here.

I work from home for a foreign company. I have a monitor, a wireless keyboard, and a usb trackball already. I bought them to use with a mac mini my previous company lend to me. I do not have a desktop and do not intend to buy one right now.

So... My questions: Does any of you have experience using a handheld device as a main dev machine? Are there any cons I'm not considering?

Mais alguém aqui usa trackball? (bolha.forum)
 

Faz alguns anos que eu passei a usar porque meu pulso e ombro doíam muito. Sou programador e passo muito tempo no computador.

Já tinha experimentado mouses verticais, mas não gostei do uso. Eu era pouco preciso, acho que por causa da força do clique ser para o lado ao invés de pra baixo. Mas enfim…

Migrei pro trackball e hoje eu não acho que volto pro mouse mais…

Mais alguém tem experiência com mouses não convencionais?
