The debrid services do the torrenting, you only download from cache. So debrid services are safe in Germany. I'd still look into Usenet though. It costs more but is super fast and very safe.

I was in a mood yesterday. Didn't mean to be rude to anyone. Just venting some steam.

It literally says "cameras for AI". You don't see how that becomes a problem?

AirPods are earbuds, whereas the ones with tips that go into the ear channel are IEMs. The latter are better in every way in my opinion, but that doesn't help if they hurt. I use foam tips, they give the best seal and comfort in my opinion.

What speaks against headphones? Like on-ear or over-ear headphones.

Re bubble: look at Lemmy.ml... just criticize China and you'll be banned. They just keep telling each other that China is the best country on earth and no one will challenge that anymore, as everyone gets banned. It's an extreme example but a pretty good one.

Re sickness: we're a social species. That means interacting in real life. In real life you won't have that many peers communicating with you all at once and you can gauge what your peers think by watching their body language. Online communication is all over the place and unfiltered. Humans haven't evolved to process all of that information while still critically evaluating said Information. This leads to mental burnout, depression etc.

For the record, I am capable of limiting my exposure to this, because I grew up and witnessed the evolution of tech (born in 82). I'm also somewhat intelligent. I hold a Master's in engineering, which requires a bit of intelligence. Many people only ever get basic education, if even that (not trying to sound condescending. Education is a privilege!). These people can't handle this type of communication. That's also the reason why they're so easily manipulated by the right extremists.

Phones distract, phones nowadays have no headphone jack (fuck Bluetooth), Laptop isn't very portable. I love having a dedicated device for music.

Edit: oh, and no fucking Touch Screen bullshit. I can just reach into my pocket and blindly operate the thing.

It's social media. You're putting yourself in a bubble. Humans never evolved for this kind of communication and it's making us all sick.

I'm pretty sure it actually does work this way in many places. Young people these days barely have any social skills and that just clashes with the boomers that are running things. So if someone confident and charismatic finally comes along, they'll likely get the job. But I'm also not in America and Americans tend to be pretty loud and outgoing anyway, so it may not be true for the US.

Germany has the "Recht am eigenen Bild", which is why street photography sucks balls here. But it's a good law. Not sure if this covers "AI" related shit.
