I don’t know if all do, but the few French people I had pizza with, all of them used knife and fork.

In a nice Italian restaurant in Berlin, all the people I saw used knife and fork, I did too not to fit but those pizzas had a crazy thin base and a lot of sauce and things on top, trying to pick a slice with the hand would end very badly, so maybe in other places the people would have used the hand.

I’ll have my first Korean exam this weekend. It is a very basic one done in the academy I’m enrolled, but I’m nervous nonetheless.

We have difficulties even between regions in the same country. There is a TV series called The day of the Jackal where the British main character is married to a woman from Cadiz and they live there and interact with her family.

I couldn’t understand the woman and her family, I had to use the English captions to follow the story.

Me at a congress about technology and medicine.

Presentation about future of AI in medicine.

The speaker complains that current European laws blocks progress.

The laws? GDPR, medical data protection, and privacy.

In that congress there were two sides on AI in healthcare, one making emphasis on improving care and outcomes and huge emphasis on privacy and security, and the other envisioned a Medical Minority Report/Big Brother-like future where there is zero human connection with the patient.

There are a lot of companies that have migrated to Google and only kept a few Office licenses for cases that MSWord is imperative in order to do properly their job (eg. exchange documents with third parties that only accept docx and the compatibility with GDocs is not perfect).

It depends on the cost and other factors used to sweeten the deal.

And w.r.t. Teams, I never had a good experience with it (regarding virtual meetings), meanwhile I never had an issue with Google Meet.

It doesn’t matter how good is internet connection nowadays, the source in the server is still encoded losing some quality.

Tried to watch Batman Begins in HBO Max, despite being offered as 4K UHD, the loss of information was noticeable on my OLED tv, specially the blacks (as you know, there is almost no black colour in Batman /s).

A friend of mine lend me his Nolan’s Batman trilogy on BR 4K UHD and it was like night and day.

Since the lbs I’m buying physical for movies that I like the most and want to watch them in the highest quality possible.

Not as much as DDR5, but DDR4 has increased its price a lot.

I bought 128GB on Amazon in 2024 for around 240€, went to the product page recently and it is around 1100€.

I did not experience it personally, but in Spain LaLiga is forcing ISPs to do the same and lots of websites get fucked in the process.

When blocking a community, crossposts from that community should also be blocked or filtered out.

If I block a community is because I don’t want to see anything from it, but if someone crosspost from there I have the content that I don’t like in my curated feed.

For example, I’m interested in a certain topic and I follow community A which focuses in that topic. There is also community B which covers the same topic but using AI to generate content. I block B, however since A doesn’t have a rule against AI, people crosspost a lot from B to A.

AI is the most frequent content that I see in my my feed due crosspost, but there is also multiple cases that I block a community centered in a topic that I don’t want to see and someone crosspost from said community to memes or similar.

Maybe there are people fine with how it works right now and want to see when someone crosspost drama from said community, but there should be be the option to enable filtering out them.

Due work I’m going to spend a week this summer in Berlin and I have multiple questions.

First of all: How cashless is the city? Where I live (Valencia, Spain) I can count with the fingers of one hand the places that doesn’t accept ApplePay (or a contactless card).

I’m staying near the Alexanderplatz station. Any recommendations for dining there? I’m not going to eat at the hotel restaurant every nigh.

The weekdays I’m mostly being going from the hotel to conference centre and then returning to the hotel without no time to enjoy the city. So, for the weekend my idea is to visit one or two must see tourist places (like the Brandenburg gate), but also explore the city instead of following your average tourist route. Any suggestions? Like flea markets, parks, places that nerds would enjoy, real local food, etc.

Thanks.
