I hear more news from the US than my own country. Granted, my own country's politics are people respectfully discussing policy matters while US politics is like a circus and a pro wrestling league combined, with unimaginably high stakes.
It's the same as his approach to Covid. If we stop testing, we don't know how many cases there are and can therefore pretend it doesn't exist anymore
They haven't even considered that maybe 50% of the US population doesn't vote because they feel like neither party has their interests at heart!
If they swung further left and got an actually progressive candidate who wants to fix the problems in this fucking country, I'm willing to bet everything that they'd win.
Hell, what got Obama in office was precisely the fact that he campaigned on hope and progressive ideals! He didn't end up sticking to those ideals though, but that's another story.

I haven't watched it the last few years because I can't stomach the idea that a genocidal state is allowed to compete :/ I love Eurovision but the EBU has made all the wrong decisions. They were even going to let Russia compete in 2022 after the invasion of Ukraine, until public outrage forced their hand. They claim the competition is neutral but guess what? Allowing Israel, a country actively committing genocide who isn't even a part of fucking Europe is a political statement whether you like it or not
Eurovision is huge in Australia. People get up in the middle of the night to watch it. So in 2016, the contest's 60th anniversary, they allowed Australia to compete for funsies.
Everyone agreed they understand Eurovision perfectly so they were allowed to stay.

The Norwegian prison system emphasizes rehabilitation over punishment. Norwegian prisons are generally decent places. Turns out that treating prisoners like human beings makes them much less likely to reoffend and go back to prison.
