Im shocked that all animals are not tagged with a gps finder. If we do our own dogs then whats the big deal of doing the zoo animals as well?

Depends on what stage its at. If you were to somehow manage the shit show of surviving through the beginning times and actually establish a system that works and one not ran by cult leaders then a free trade system could look really nice. The other problem with this would be the more people involved the more there may be people that disagree with this system since no matter what everyone has different opinions on what they want even if its a fully functional system. I also fear that ultimately, just as it is today, we would still be full of problems that most likely stem from world leaders that have to much power and fuck it all up for the rest of us.

I know right? We just need to accept the fact that it could have never been better than it is right now, except for maybe next year when we win even more. Can't wait for Trump 2028!

Not only do I wash them I apply the smallest dab of lume behind them because as I got older they definitely got a bit stinky by end of day. Works great, no more stink.

And yeah we tell our kids to wash everywhere, I remember the ads but I never thought about it other than being common sense.

You mean the exact deal we had in place already to prevent that, but trump withdrew from in 2018 and never got another deal agreed upon and just walked away? That one?

I just think the worse thing now is seeing the current lineup of candidates for 2028... shes still there and so are a bunch of others im pretty sure nobody wants.

[–] HeyJoe@lemmy.world 2 points 3 days ago

Hmm i didnt think of that! About 10 years before my wife would be there. Maybe then we won't fight about the room temperature everyday.

Timing seems to relevant to the recent FDA ban of all foreign made routers. Im guessing this will give them something to point at to scare people some more.

Wtf... it's worse than ever. Do the losers talk about it like ok we know we suck, and we lost last time, but this time they have to pick us because the reality is so fucked we absolutely got this!

I believe slow cooked bbq and smokers will aim for temps between 225 and 275 Fahrenheit. Sure it will take a while, but as long as the temp reaches the internal temp of 160 during this process, which it will, it's perfectly fine.

This is the same tile that existed when we moved in 10 years ago. Over the years, our kids have splashed water out while playing in bathtub and some toilet accidents... it has caused some areas to start showing hairline cracks revealing the big tile is really just a bunch of small ones placed together. Is there any easy fix to cover this somehow, or will my only real option to redo the entire floor? Thanks!

Thanks for the comments, and the answers are lining up with my thoughts. You are all correct, there have been countless lazy attempts in the house where they cut corners, so it would not be surprising if they did that here as well. Guess redoing this at some point is the #1 option.

Everyone knows one of the best things NJ has to offer is homemade bagels. I was curious what everyone's best bagel spot is. A few years ago, I saw this asked on the other site, and I saw some great suggestions.

I bring it up because today I actually got to try the one that was mentioned the most, and im happy to say it did not disappoint. The name is Bagel Train, and technically, it's in NY but only about 30 seconds over the border. This one may have taken 1st place for me. Before this, my favorite was Hot Bagels in Fairlawn. Has anyone else got some suggestions for the best of the best?

Our 11 year old dog Domino just passed early this morning. She was the world to our family. Sweetest dog I have ever known, and as this was my first pet, I have to say this is an extremely hard day. Here is a pic of her several months ago giving us love. I only hope we gave her a great life.

The Turner Doomsday Video is the internal title of an apocalypticism video intended to be broadcast by CNN at the end of the world. The video, created at the direction of CNN founder Ted Turner before the network's 1980 launch, is a performance of the Christian hymn "Nearer, My God, To Thee" performed by multiple members of the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine bands.

It was never seen by the public until it was leaked in 2015 by a former intern.

RIP Ratebeer (beerconnoisseur.com)

I'm sure many here haven't dealt with Ratebeer, but it was the OG site to use along with beer advocate back in the late 2000's. A few of my friends were hooked, and it got me onboard. We joined local communities, met up with others for local beer events, and setup tastings with everyone. Made a lot of good friends and tried the best beers in the world because of the site and although I drifted from the hobby well over a decade now it still was a big influence for me and even the modern equivalents that exist today. Just wanted to put this here since it was definitely a part of beer history that should be remembered.
