I could imagine Waluigi being an ancap

It's slightly harder than Windows but not really hard either. I usually use Lutris like this:

  1. Create a folder for the game in ~/Games/
  2. Open that new folder in the terminal and run WINEPREFIX=$PWD winecfg to create a new wine prefix and then close winecfg
    • Maybe this could be done in Lutris too but I can't check right now
  3. Put the pirated game into the c_drive folder (Hope I'm remembering the folder name correctly) in that new wine prefix
  4. Manually create a new game entry for the game using the information from the Lutris website (If you enter the exact same name and release year as on that website, you can click the reset button under each image and it will automatically download and select them) and select the installer .exe from the game folder as the game executable
  5. Start the game in Lutris and go through the installer
  6. After the installation is complete, edit the game entry again and select the .exe of the installed game as the executable
  7. Delete the pirated game folder (the one with the installer) from the c_drive folder, since we don't need it anymore
  8. Now you can run the game from Lutris or right click it and select the option to create an application menu entry

Actually, I just read something in this comment section about the maintainer of Lutris rejecting PRs and rewriting them with AI which would be pretty shitty if true, so I might look into using something like Bottles instead but the process should be similar.

And yet, if one party feels they can just pick up territory with their superior capacity for violence, the rest of us are kind of forced to try to deter that.

The thing is, I disagree with that. This state is not something I think is worth defending with my life. I'd rather live under Putin than die on the front lines.

[–] Fisch@discuss.tchncs.de 1 points 4 weeks ago (3 children)

Honestly, that's not what I worry about at all. I'm worried about the military buildup that is happening (not just in Germany). Nobody should have to die to protect state interests.

[–] Fisch@discuss.tchncs.de 2 points 4 weeks ago (5 children)

Germany wanting to have the strongest army in Europe and investing more money into the military than it ever has since Nazi Germany is totally not something we should worry about

I'm from Germany, not much better here 😕

[–] Fisch@discuss.tchncs.de 7 points 1 month ago

With that amount of money it's basically impossible to fail unless he actively involves himself to fuck shit up

The woke mob strikes again 🙄

Fuck it, I like this bird. Go ahead, cancel me.

[–] Fisch@discuss.tchncs.de 3 points 1 month ago

Oh no, that would be totally horrible, I hope someone figures out how to trigger it so I can avoid it

I just installed Piped using podman-compose but when I open up the frontend in my browser, the trending page is just showing the loading icon. The logs aren't really helping, the only error is in piped-backend:

Would appreciate it if anyone could help me. I also wasn't sure what info to include, so please ask if there's any more info you need.

All the public Piped instances are getting blocked by YouTube but do small selfhosted instances, that are only used by a handful of users or just yourself, still working? Thinking of just selfhosting it.

On a side note, if I do it, I'd also like to install the new EFY redesign or is that branch too far behind?

Edit: As you can see in the replies, private instances still work. I also found the instructions for running the new EFY redesign here

You need to hold down fn1 + page up for a few seconds until the keyboard flashes red, then let go of the keys. Now you can use page up as the print screen key. If you hold down fn1 + page up for a few seconds again, it will go back to working as the page up key.

Just had to search this up and found out how to do this from a Reddit post, so I thought I'd put this information on here as well.

Resolution is kinda low, I'll try upscaling it later

Edit: Here's the upscaled version at 3376 x 6000

I have a Nothing Phone 1 but unfortunately, no one's currently maintaining it. I was thinking of doing it myself but I don't really know where to start. Would be great if you could give me some pointers.
