I tried to do a play through in VR. Nope. Absolutely not. Got to med bay and just no. Never finished it. Still dealing with the trauma.

That's the new airport they're building in a nature reserve, presumably to service the new development so the billionaire class don't have to transfer.

The reporting on this is confusing. The island is not in the middle of the Med, it's just offshore and in no way deserted. It was popular with locals and tourists before they stopped public access.

I really hope Valve has been cooking something to launch with the Frame. But personally I'm very happy with my library and play VR FPS most days, player counts could be higher but the community is awesome.

I have been slim my whole life apart from that one year I perfected mac & cheese.

Indeed, fuck Palmer Luckey, I like to think Gabe thinks he's a cunt too.

They could easily have given up on VR hardware after the Index, but I'm glad they didn't. We need someone to compete with Meta.

Maybe I'm not up to date on the situation but it seems weird the article doesn't mention the construction of an international airport inside the Vjosa-Narta Protected Landscape, a sanctuary for over 200 bird species, including flamingos and endangered Dalmatian pelicans. It's basically opposite the island they want to develop. I visited Vlora unaware of all the plans, and a big draw for me was visiting this habitat and seeing the birds. Its a beautiful place, sad to see Albania being fucked by developers and ruining their coastline.

Advertising peaked in '98 with this piece of art. The data people are in charge of the industry now, all creativity and fun is long gone.

Yeah I get it, it's a silly comparison as the potential threat landscape is completely different. It's a sad situation over there.

I was paid a dawn visit many years ago by an armed unit (UK). The way they ran it was two plainclothes (handguns only) officers knock on the door to assess the threat, with a van full of tooled up guys in balaclavas just outside, just in case. It was all very chill and no unnecessary stress/escalation for anyone. Seems like this would be a more sensible approach.

Unless you see it coming via unofficial means which is not uncommon in large companies. When the same department roles are advertised in bulk in different countries for example, restructuring like this is rarely done en masse so when one department goes, people start to wonder if they're next and do some digging.

All our official council funded ones are attached to lampposts at 90 degrees, sideways, looks sheite.
