In the greater Toronto area. So many vacant condo units. Pre-construction buildings not having enough sold units to meet threshold and thus not being built. Builders being forced to reduce pricing or offer up better incentives to buyers.

But who has $20,000 sitting around to make a down payment on a 1 Million dollar townhome? Wages need to go up. That starts with our employers.

Why are they trying to build more houses when we have a surplus of units? Builders aren’t building anymore because their existing inventory isn’t selling.

They won’t drop prices because of greed and using real estate as investments. So now we have immigrants with low-paying jobs trying to buy homes with inflated price tags.

Either lower prices of homes or start paying workers more so they can afford homes.

Because he has no opposition. Ontario wants better leadership. Only 20% of eligible voters voted Ford into a Majority. But the NDP and LIBs can’t prop up a strong, charismatic leader that people can get behind - for the past 8 years!

And people 💩 on teachers for “getting summers off”

At least teachers work. These politicians just pad their pockets with bribes while passing legislation that only benefits the rich.

The anti-American / pro-Canadian sentiment is huge right now. The switch to EB (Electronic Boutique) will bump sales for sure.

Just think it’s a little ironic that it’s a Quebec company that’s saving it.

How many gallons / litres is your home water heater?

We live in a suburban 4 bedroom detached home. I find that after my wife and kid shower, I’m stuck showering in cold water.

Are they using too much water or is my water heater just not big enough?

Edit: not my photo. We currently have a 50gal tank.

Only time I shopped at The Bay was when we used it as our wedding registry. Overpriced and out-of-touch.

I'm hearing rumblings of mass layoffs in my industry and was hoping to soften the blow by reaching out for full-time work before things come crumbling down.

I have nearly 20yrs of experience working in a studio and as an in-house designer. With the last 8yrs being at my current employer.

While a generalist, I excel in the areas of logo / branding design, print design, email / e-blast design and presentation design. I do a little bit of Wordpress / HTML / CSS work on the side as well.

I'm a Xennial with strong work ethic and communication skills.

Reach out if you think I can help you. Thank you!

The opposition parties don’t have real leaders. Ford won because everyone else was so weak. They had zero personality, zero charisma and zero ability to unite voters.

The Carbon Tax was a major part of Trudeau's downfall near the end of his term. Why did he have such a hard-on for the Carbon Tax? Why didn't he cancel it when he had a chance and maybe salvage his political career? Why did Carney scrap it on his first day?

EDIT thanks for all the responses. It now makes so much sense. Trudeau was on his way out. He knew it. He took all the heat so that the new leader could take credit and ushering in a “We’re not Trudeau” party leadership, potentially saving the party during the next election and sticking it to Poillivere

I know people like this. They truly believe like they are doing society a favor by buying up houses and renting them out. The disconnect from reality is wild.

Serious - Don't follow your passion. I did. Went to school for something I was passionate about. Did well and graduated. I got a job in my field. But soon enough, my passion felt like work. My priorities shifted as I aged and I grew to hate what I studied and once fell passionate about.

Find a career path that makes you money. Once you have that money you can make time to dabble in your passion projects and hobbies. Just wanted to add a different perspective to the meme :)
