For guys (and girls) who feel confused: ask them first if it is okay to do something or touch their bodies. If they say yes, you are in the clear. If they say no, then back off. This includes if you are trying to do a joke or prank. Touching someone as a "joke" is still harassment if you don't have consent.

And yeah i am in my late 30s and also think I have peaked (years ago).
Could be that the delivery service absorbed the cost in order to not scare its customers. Might have raised their service fees instead.
I am sorry I didn't realize this was an echo chamber where you can only voice validating and approving opinions.
I mainly think banning SM is better than trying age verification or some other way to exclude children. If it is 99% toxic trash then it should just be banned.
Next in line is 99% of all porn, which is also toxic trash. If one applies the same logic as previously, then it should be banned too.
Unregulated use of morphine (heroine) is bad, thus we ban it.
It is interesting though how strongly you react to porn specifically getting banned. Maybe you should reflect on that.
Don't worry, neither porn or social media will ever get banned :) but the fact that you react so negatively to it should perhaps make you reflect upon your own habits, the way people using social media should reflect upon theirs.
I have been pro banning all for-profit social media for years. I can live without Reddit. Especially now with Lemmy and fediverse. I can even live with no social media whatsoever. We should probably ban all porn too. It is just as brain rotting as social media. I say this as someone who does watch porn. I can live without it if society gets better from banning it.
They are not entirely wrong for not trusting them though. I have broken more than one Ubuntu installs... and I consider myself a semi-advanced user.
If more windows people join and Ubuntu wants to keep them, they need protection from doing stupid things like uninstalling all display and graphics drivers or system critical packages...
Don't underestimate people's stupidity, at least that something that Microsoft and apple get right.
It can be both. I am certain that there isn't one explanation for it. What i describe is the feedback loop. What you describe is the initial conditions. Combined they spell disaster.
This is why we have so much tribalism, polarization and extremism today too though. People find their information bubble, gets validated for the shit they say (i.e. emotional support), feel good about it so they post more and more extreme shit and validate (give emotional support) to others in the bubble.
Now you have an extremist movement. Getting emotional support/validation from strangers on the internet is not always a good thing. Even if it makes you feel less anxious. Some people should feel anxious about the things they think about.
It is so they can fantasize about being captured and used as a sex slave by the blond hot amazonians instead of plotting the 'accidental' death of their abusive commander who stole half of their wage and threatened to send them on a suicide mission if they complain. Or something like that.
It warms my heart that you still want to be friends with her and not rip things up completely. It must have been so difficult for her to come out, given that she would risk losing you completely. I hope you find a way to move forward from this. It is as you said nobody's fault.
