4vhan was pretty left leaning with some libertarian (and still rampant racism). It was also, by far, the easiest social media to manipulate.

Isn't it easier to handle most users on one server than it is to have a bunch of equal servers? Then the problem just moves off the one server towards the communication between the servers being the bottleneck.
That does invite a whole host of issues, and waters down the bit of content we do have.
