I think of Bambi and thumper, that's how bad it is

"a certain number of peasants must starve in order to motivate my cake baker to maximum productivity"
It's a weird one because it's a huge expense but it's also completely concentrated to a subset of the population for a subset of their life. I think it should have a public option. 2 toddlers, not infants, could cost us 50k/year
Honestly, my first answer was "nothing, I don't deserve something nice because I haven't been hitting my goals recently". Then I felt bad about that because being too hard on ourselves is counterproductive, so now I'll set aside some time to stretch tomorrow.
I caught that too. "Flarper, noun. Fascist larper"
we're extremely insulated from the consequences of our hubris and stupidity. Sorry for fucking up

"in these hot days is the mad blood stirring" -Romeo and Juliet
Definitely. I personally merge earlier, knowing it's less efficient and will put me back relative to zipper merging - just to avoid the stress of trying to get in between potentially uncooperative mergees. But I also don't get too mad at the mergers - maybe they're in a legit hurry
Some people think that if there's a hwy lane closure in 30 miles, you're the asshole of you don't immediately merge over
Opportunists and fools,

And lastly, If you knew that the ~$10T USA 401k market would be forced to buy shares in a company with 5% float due to rule changes, you might see a bull case. I'm not touching it, but don't expect traditional value investing in a rigged system where too much concentrated wealth is sloshing around looking for the next big thing.
The market isn't for us anymore, it thinks we're for it
