You are otherwise welcome to shut up

Take your own advice.

Hey friend. This is basically what I came to write. I consider myself a "dictionary anarchist" which to me just means a complete lack of hierarchy whether natural or imposed.

I don't think of it as a political philosophy but more just as a description of how I believe the world actually is when stripped of the systems we've laid on top of everything.

I also have no interest in figuring out or enforcing this belief on other people or groups.

I watched a lady bring a small dead bird in a ziploc onto the Metro in Montreal and then proceed to pluck its feathers onto the floor.

and we aren't talking about your game hen or a quail here or something. I'm lalking about a fucking sparrow or something like that.

Raccoons like to poop on top of their old dried poop. raccoon poop looks a lot like human poop. especially when more than one animal is using that latrine.

in the forest they often do it where two trails meet.

think about that before jumping out of a bush.

and if it was a raccoon don't handle that poop please. call animal control.

[edit to add] if you want some nightmares; google 'pinworm human infection' and then stay far away from raccoon droppings.

Lucky.

We have had full snow cover since mid-october here. But it has also been +3-5c most afternoons.

Although early snow often means warmer winter. And I can definitely handle the snow in QC better than the -40s I used to get in AB.

I want to preface this by saying that I personally did not downvote.

But the reason is not that hard to discern.

saying that you used to work for the police is basically the same thing as saying you used to work at a puppy grinding factory.

sure. you may be better now but you were still grinding puppies in your story.

I'm currently living in Canada where the ground has been hidden by snow for a month.

i was bitten by a mosquito outside yesterday.

My dad never learned to cook, clean, or take care of his own hair/clothes. He had 7 sisters who were all taught that taking care of the boys and the house was their main duty in life. None of those sisters ever touched a hammer or a wrench.

I have two boys - they were taught to cook and clean and take care of themselves. And once they had that basic stuff down they were taught the hammer and wrench.

If you generalize 'everyone' and someone says 'not me' your instinct is to call them out for generalizing?

Fuck off.

[–] Bo7a@piefed.ca 1 points 4 months ago

Calling what kirk did 'disagreeing' is a surefire sign that you are not worth talking to. Get fucked.

Very exciting.

I love Rex Krueger's videos, and I was thinking about his planing stop while cleaning up in the shop when i happened upon my collection of 'dull and/or burnt reciprocating tool blades that I won't throw away because who knows' and it occured to me that these are the same shape, and rough size as a screwdown planing stop, while conveniently fitting over a dog, or using the existing holes to screw it down.
