MODERATOR OF

4 years today, the name BluePower was founded.

I started using this name back when I am still very active on the Perchance generator development back in 2022, and is being continued for further generator developments throughout my 2023-2024 era of Perchance. If you want to see what generators I have created, you can check out my generator manager (gen hub) page.

After the devastating incident that happened in 2024 though, everything changed. Generator updates started slowing down sharply, and big plans for the next updates has to be somewhat cancelled after that. Since then, I learned to slowly move on from the chaos.

Now, I just have a new different passion. I am still simply looking on generators here and update my own occasionally as I wanted to. But now, I have a focus on very different things.

Right now, I am semi-retiring from Perchance. Since I departed a little bit on the incident, a few years later, the platform has never felt the same today. It no longer used to shine a bright on me as it was used to, especially that there were generator events back when I came back from the 2023 break.

But for a big part of my life, Perchance has helped me explore what I can imagine and create from my web coding experience that I am currently advancing outside the platform. Perchance is still an integral part on my current workflow for testing stuff out, but I am no longer making significant generator updates on there anymore.

Is it maybe because it has so much formatting syntax that it could be exploited so badly for inappropriate stuff or something (especially image and link formats)? Or some other things that detected the moderation system to flag this project as "having sensitive content"?

Also I did not know Perchance has a content moderation system since last year before. It does help prevent some inappropriate stuff, to be honest, but is my advanced comments plugin project can potentially be used to insert sensitive content on it?

Here are some notable quality changes and fixes I've made:

  • Replies are now half-supported! (although you still can't reply from this plugin demo, try going to another generator like ai-chat)
  • Added a new dark mode for the generator page :) (from this template)
  • There should no longer a super loud notification sound when moving around chat rooms
  • The formatting buttons have been simplified; you can click on the "More" button to show more formatting option
  • Added rounded corners into the message bubbles
  • The lower input area (the comments plugin built-in one) is now hidden by default
  • Redesigned user profile details
  • The comments can now have avatars (profile pictures); if a user don't have avatars assigned, they'll be assigned a default profile picture color and the first letter for them
  • Comments from users without nicknames now have italic usernames to distinguish them from nicknamed users' comments
  • Comments can now fold in (with a "Show more" button below) when the content is too tall to show
  • Users with a blue username set but no nickname will now be shown its blue username on the main username text instead of the auto-generated one
  • Custom emojis now enlarge when inserted as the only emoji in the comment (no additional lines)
  • And a lot of minor improvements

Any feedback is appreciated!

PS: I haven't been on Perchance for ages now. Just randomly opened this project and felt the need to improve some things.

Alongside Ctrl+Y, it would be really nice to have Ctrl+Shift+Z as the keyboard shortcut for undo too in the Perchance editor since VS Code (a code editor I use often for some of my projects) and Ace Editor already has that. I've been getting used to it since I started writing code far more often in VS Code and Ace Editor than in Perchance.

So excited!! ๐Ÿคฉ

Remember the time when the tldraw plugin was released, the app literally creates anonymous canvases for your generator when you import the plugin? Well, tldraw is apparently making those canvases read-only by July 1st, just got this notice when opening one of them.

This popup will appear every time you load any tldraw canvas frame from the tldraw plugin. Thought of something like putting a "warning" in the plugin page or something else.

Haven't been posting on this community for a very long while now (been focusing on a lot of new things) so I apologize if I made some mistakes.

This will forever be recorded as one of the most exciting events to participate in for my whole life. I've never been this happy and excited before. It is fun and intriguing just to be able to explore and draw a bunch of pixels into a public canvas just like grabbing squares (pixels) and putting it into a giant block of land (the canvas) to draw art with.

Great job! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

After I finished working on my drawing, I spent some extra time on the event drawing small custom/abstract flags inspired from generated flags from my flag generator, placed on random locations of tiny available spaces on the canvas. Mainly just to help fill the canvas, but overall, that was a cool and fun idea.

I drew a total of 40 flags, but not all of them managed to survive until the end of the event. So, I double-checked and counted all the survived flags, and in total, there are 34 survived flags on the canvas. If you managed to find all of them, I'll reveal a huge list of locations in the comments!

These are some of the mini flags, for a bit of a hint.

I'll probably add a shading behind the text (especially on the "HUGE UPDATE" part) to make it more visually appealing and not to interfere more with the overlapping flag

๐Ÿ“ Canvas location

I'm happy I could finish a 158-pixel-wide drawing mostly (if not all) by myself ever since the time when the canvas was expanded (took around 2 days to finish). At the time the canvas had much more space to build in that I instantly got an idea to build a template incorporating the two URLs of my most popular Perchance projects (Power Generator Manager and Power Flag Generator (a.k.a. Random Custom Flag)) and some references.

There was a bit of an adjustment when someone was drawing overlapping on my template, but it was fine, I then planned to move some parts around.

Now, while I look around the canvas, I wanted to draw more custom/abstract flags scattered around the entire canvas (in tiny available spaces of course) during the remaining time of the event, just to help fill more pixels around the flag layouts/models will be grabbed from my flag generator. Here's a group of the blank versions for a reference. What do you think?
