President Trump on Saturday told reporters, without citing evidence, that he believes a deadly strike on a girls' primary school in southern Iran last weekend was "done by Iran."

"In my opinion, based on what I've seen, that was done by Iran…We think it was done by Iran, because they're very inaccurate with their munitions, they have no accuracy whatsoever, it was done by Iran," Mr. Trump said aboard Air Force One after attending the dignified transfer of six U.S. soldiers who were killed in an Iranian strike in Kuwait on March 1.

When pressed by a reporter if Mr. Trump's assessment was accurate, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth responded that the Pentagon was "investigating," adding that "the only side that targets civilians is Iran." Thanks, will have a look at that.

No, but if you have a link... 😉

I am pretty sure that such a service exists, but I can't find it.
People paid cash, and it converted to crypto. Similar to paying USD/GBP or EUR on an online store e.g. Amazon UK/DE/COM etc.

Ideally, like paying USD on Amazon UK so that I don't get stung with Amazons exchange rate or eBay (or Paypals) etc.

Are there any decent (Private or otherwise) payment portals that anyone could recommend, that allow customers to pay cash, but it could convert and deposit into a crypto wallet, preferably BTC on the fly, with as low fees as possible? I thought I saw one about a year ago but never bookmarked it.

Any recommended payment portals at all. Ones that require ID and business info to setup, ones that don't require any info but are safe and legit etc.. All that can allow the user to pay cash for crypto. Thanks.

EDIT - Maybe something like Paybis or Bitpay. I will have to look into both of those a bit more.

Yes, it seems it does.. and they look good. 🙂

Example here - https://piefed.social/topics

I got it from here - Scroll down to differences between Lemmy and PieFed.

Thanks, will look for it. Hopefully can find some info. 🤞

Ah ok. Thanks.

[–] Babalugats@lemmy.world 1 points 7 months ago (5 children)

Thanks. Does PieFed have subcategories?

As per the title.

If I was running a Vanilla forum and wanted to migrate over to a new lemmy instance, e.g. forum.com to lemmy.forum.com Could I migrate the entire forum over while keeping the same categories/sub categories as communities I guess, and bringing all of the old threads with them? If it is possible, would it be difficult?

I have added an idea to the OP as I think (and hope) that might make some sort of difference.

As I am sure most of the world is aware of the monopoly that Ticketmaster have regarding events, I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to defeat them little by little or otherwise.

I have seen many campaigns, including one from before live nation was formed, in an attempt to prevent it. The juggernaut that it is, easily bats away any attempt to take it on, they are not even afraid of the US government trying to break up the monopoly.

They have been caught many times globally breaking and bending laws, and have a very unethical form of practice. Ticket prices just keep going up along with nonsense charges.

Would love to see ideas to help defeat them.

EDIT - Would lobbying politicians help? (Not sure if lobbying is the correct word). I mean, would having a pre-written letter template being sent to the correct politicians work if a load of people were to sign it and send it in, similar to the fightchatcontrol.eu site.

Which politicians to email?

I was looking around for a VPN and came across these. They are slightly more expensive than some of the more well known VPNs but cheaper than Mullvad and claim to offer similar levels of privacy. Hoping to hear from somebody who has used them or has an active subscription.

Thanks.

So all of these people are antisemitic? Do they not realise that we are living in 2025?

/S (just in case it has to be pointed out)

Yep, that's the plan. Still didn't get around to it today. My "free" day and I've not sat down other than the few minutes earlier to write the OP and look at some of the replies l. Hopefully I'll have a few hours to myself after dinner.

Thank you for a great, detailed answer. Proxmox it is so. I was going with NixOS and definitely going to try Podman as I've been reading all about that while downloading and copying the Isos. I will be dedicating an entire machine and if I don't do it today, I fear it will be another year before I come back to it. 🥴 I'm going to start it now . Thanks again.

I've just went to the betterstack podman page after the above post, and there's a good video that covers what you asked, there.

https://betterstack.com/community/guides/scaling-docker/podman-vs-docker/

Sorry. I know that this or a similar question has been asked many times, and trying to find a decent answer i get redirected to reddit and blocked because of my VPN. I am looking for the preferred version of the above OS's for installing Docker based on easiness and stability/reliability once installed. Is there such a distro as DockerOS or a Distro with Docker preinstalled? I thought I read something like that last year when I was threatening to pull my finger out the first time and get something up and running, but now I am not sure whether or not I have imagined it.

TIA

This is a crazy, gross invasion of privacy and will affect everything in your daily browsing habits if it goes ahead. Tor network is surely going to become better known and more widely used with these type of policies being put out.

Olá,

Peço desculpa pela tradução. Estou a utilizar DeepL.

https://www.leboat.com/boating-vacations/france

E os dois que consegui encontrar até agora:

https://booking.danfluvial.com/en/boat/

Obrigado
