Fdroid doesnt seem to have any llm-related policy about that yet

Izzyondroid

Izzyondroid has an exclusion policy for lmm-slopped apps and they need to pass some checks first

Vibe-coded apps will be rejected.

Apps acting as front-end for LLMs as outlined in point 6 above, or integrate with such services, will be rejected.

Readme, Changelogs and similar documentation files are allowed to include LLM-generated texts, but the code itself should be free of it.

Using LLMs for research, brainstorming, inspiration, debugging, look-ups, and comparable „read-only“ tasks, is acceptable – provided their output is not included in the app's code.

Crazy, izzy is more strict??

There are a ton of llm assisted apps on f-droid, crazy many. In fact, Claude is perfectly able to make reproducible builds, unlike many developers

As I said in another comment, Im not gonna say that Izzy is stricter, Im gonna say that they have different policies. I read up on izzy's policies and they do have various restrictions (for example they dont allow apps over 30mb, apart from some exeptions, they dont allow proprietary conponents, apart from some exeptions, etc.). Fdroid doesnt have an ai policy yet, but there is one in the making https://gitlab.com/fdroid/admin/-/work_items/575
