Edit: For context, @db0@lemmy.dbzer0.com discovered that the developer of Tesseract had discretely banned numerous instances and disguised it as a server error. This included more heavily leftist instances, but also blahaj.zone. More recently, it was discovered that they had also been suppressing individual users, phrases, and communities that criticize power tripping on fedi.

Needless to say, I implore non blahaj.zone users to drop the Tesseract client (support for the client has already been dropped for blahaj). So called "liberals" like this who call out "extremism on both sides" are an insult to the values they claim to be upholding.

Frankly, DB0 has very low credibility in my books, they've been caught both-sidesing and enabling both white supremacists and tankies operations on the fediverse.

EDIT: I took a moment to check out the post, I do disagree with secretly hardcoding a ban or censor rather than leaving it configurable.

Yeah, weird that the dude shadowbans all the tankies while banning the word tankie. Additionally the list of regex terms is ridiculous. You find words like "yuri", "perchance" and "GirlsFrontline" in it. If this goes on, Admiral Patrick will ban words of basic grammar like "it".

You were one of the few I remembered to check, seeing you not on the list was a surprise! I'm curious if they literally just blocked people on some kind of key word they said and you just happen to use alternative phases. Lol

Unless biden is selling weapons for them. Unless harris is committing to continue selling weapons for them. Unless the US is running interference for them at the UN. Then anyone who says they're wrong to do that is a tankie. Centrists won as soon as there was no anti-genocide candidate on the ballot from either major party.
