They aren't even back to what they were. They're lower than 2 weeks ago, but still about a dollar higher than before the war. It was going in my area for around $2.30 per gallon. Then they shot up to $5.50 a gallon. Now they're around $3.40 a gallon.

$3.40 is more than $2.30.

That sounds like Woke Leftist Math to me. I won't believe this until AI Shrimp Jesus confirms it.

$3.40 is more than $2.30.

You're a Communist Muslim Pedophile.

[–] NotBillMurray@lemmy.world 20 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Well shit, can't argue with that logic.

[–] Lost_My_Mind@lemmy.world 5 points 3 months ago

You would know. You've lived through this day on loop hundreds of times.

[–] paraphrand@lemmy.world 4 points 3 months ago

The ratchet only goes back so far.

[–] Rakonat@lemmy.world 3 points 3 months ago

600% decrease according to the pedo in chief who definitely doesn't have dementia.

[–] skozzii@lemmy.ca 1 points 3 months ago

But didn't you hear the most important part, Trust in Trump?

Trust me bro.

[–] Th4tGuyII@fedia.io 38 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Sounds about right...

  • Trump illegally starts a war without congress' approval to distract from the Epstein files.
  • Fumbles it to the point where Iran ends up with the complete upper hand in negotiations
  • Pats himself on the back for negotiating a deal that left everyone in a worse state than before the war he started.
  • The Epstein files are still in the news, and people still believe he's a pedo.

Now I see how he managed to bankrupt multiple casinos. His shtick only works on gullible people.

[–] EggInDisguise@lemmy.blahaj.zone 14 points 3 months ago (2 children)

His shtick only works on gullible people.

Sadly we are all finding out just how many gullible people are all over the US.

[–] explodicle@sh.itjust.works 1 points 3 months ago

You can fool all the people some of the time and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time.

[–] JustEnoughDucks@feddit.nl 1 points 3 months ago

And the world. People here don't like trump, but they want their own fascist pedophile kings.

[–] P00ptart@lemmy.world 26 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Stop giving him credit for shit he hasn't done. Prices are not back to pre-war levels yet.

[–] auzy1@lemmy.world 1 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago)

Petrol in Australia I think is.. Not thanks to him, but due to Albo. I am tempted to go back through all my facebook people I argued with and remind them, we didn't run out of fuel like they promised we would

Albo got rid of the Fuel excise temporarily, and did some deals with neighboring countries (I guess that Trump burnt those bridges a while ago though, so might be struggling to do the same)

[–] AlternatePersonMan@lemmy.world 20 points 3 months ago

I don't know about oil prices, but gas prices are still up like 50% by me.

[–] phoenixz@lemmy.ca 14 points 3 months ago

And all it cost were thousands of lives, amongst those hundreds of little girls

Oh, that, and 300 billion dollars

And nothing is flowing

And...

[–] duckCityComplex@lemmy.world 12 points 3 months ago (1 children)

If the White House posts a statement that "The sky is blue," I'm looking out the window to check.

[–] isles@lemmy.world 3 points 3 months ago

"Sky Blue Again After Trump Successfully Negotiates With Indra, God of Storms" Can this tenuous ceasefire last?

[–] friend_of_satan@lemmy.world 11 points 3 months ago (1 children)

It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday […] it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.

[–] replicat@lemmy.world 2 points 3 months ago

The famous future history book.

[–] Tyrq@lemmy.dbzer0.com 10 points 3 months ago

The entire MO of the maga movement is to claim entirely false stuff, brazenly and without qualm. So yeah, they can claim whatever they want. Doesn't make it true, but they will certainly try to leverage whatever they can out of entirely false claims anyway.

[–] krashmo@lemmy.world 7 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Based on the screenshot alone I think you can say doing exactly that worked on at least 8000 people.

[–] tempest@lemmy.ca 4 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Ignoring the fact that anyone and every company still on Twitter must be supporting Elon and his bullshit most people's social media is heavily siloed. No one who cares will see this 'gotcha'. It will be under the fold mixed in with 1000 other responses.

The people this is meant for will see it in their feed, read it and keep on scrolling.

[–] deacon@lemmy.world 1 points 3 months ago

And that’s after accounting for the bots.

[–] buddascrayon@lemmy.world 6 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago) (2 children)

One thing's for sure, I don't think Iran's going to feel an overwhelming need for that nuclear program anymore. They have found something far far more effective to leverage against the their enemies (us).

[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 3 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago)

just close and open the strait as they please. Also having nukes gives iran more insurance so to speak. it would also make israels constant attack on iran a little more futile, since iran has been moving thier missiles around.

[–] Diurnambule@jlai.lu -1 points 3 months ago (1 children)

You shloud write US in majuscule. Because Iran is clearly not an European or Chinese enemy...

[–] buddascrayon@lemmy.world 0 points 3 months ago (2 children)

I would have wrote it (the US) if that's how I meant it. But their enemy isn't just the US. It's us. The entirety of the western world.

[–] Objection@lemmy.ml 1 points 3 months ago

The fuck are you talking about? Iran doesn't do shit to me.

[–] Diurnambule@jlai.lu -1 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago)

Lol so you are chief of Iran state or something related to Iranian state to decide that ? Okey if you want. Don't group US with USians.

[–] SnarkoPolo@lemmy.world 5 points 3 months ago

The biglyest capitulation. No one drops trou like Dear Leader, believe me.

[–] bitteroldcoot@piefed.social 5 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago)

Oh he very much can claim victory.

It’s not true.

But that doesn't matter to maga.

PS: Cushiing oil storage reached operational bottom this last week.
We are rapidly depleting the SPR.

Once those ships escape the gulf their owners arent going to let them go back in ever.

[–] lightnsfw@reddthat.com 5 points 3 months ago (1 children)

I don't care about oil prices. I care about gas and that's still higher than before this shit started.

[–] tobebannedbygaymods@lemmy.zip 1 points 3 months ago (1 children)

most GAS still comes from Oil

[–] lightnsfw@reddthat.com 2 points 3 months ago

Yeah, but until the price of the end product goes down there's nothing to be celebrating. Americans that arn't oil companies don't buy oil barrels.

[–] ArmchairAce1944@discuss.online 4 points 3 months ago

The way these people speak and behave remind me of the really socially awkward bullies I knew as a kid. Making shit up and somehow still having a lot of people believe them.

[–] TankovayaDiviziya@lemmy.world 4 points 3 months ago (1 children)

You have to hand it to Trump, he is unashamedly amazing at glazing losses.

[–] Diurnambule@jlai.lu 3 points 3 months ago

Yeah but it seem you have to have a big propagandas system behind it. I wonder if we survive in year if it would be studied. A company did the brexit, then perfected the method for macron then trump.

[–] Phantaloons@piefed.zip 3 points 3 months ago

"Thanks to harvesting the blood of Venezuela..."

[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 0 points 3 months ago

and thats just to keep epstein off the airwaves, venezuelan dint provide enough of a distraction. thats why turmp has resorted to things like the reflection pool, falling aslep, "health scare",
