Would you want to make a new one and be a mod? I donβt want to create another account and Iβve heard moderation is problematic if you are on another instance.
If not, Iβll make one on my instance, but mander seemed to have the most support.

Personally, I would move to a random instance rather than slrpnk. Not because it's a bad instance but because I think it's a bad idea to bundle all communities for a topic in just place. If slrpnk shuts down one day as well, a big chunk of environment related Lemmy would be gone. Following the idea of the Fediverse, it would be more failsafe to spread similar topics as wide as possible.
I encourage you to check out mander.xyz. That's the most natural-sciency instance I have come across. I think this community would fit right in there.
Status update: Does anyone on mander.xyz want to create the new community? If not, then it looks like @LibertyLizard@slrpnk.net will proceed to create one on slrpnk.net.
