Bonus points if Band Name - Album Name - Song Name are all on the same recording.

For example Black Sabbath debut 'Black Sabbath' also has a song called Black Sabbath.

Metallica's famous black album is called Metallica.

Iron Maiden's Iron Maiden album has the song Iron Maiden.

What do I win?

Iron Maiden’s Iron Maiden on Iron Maiden ties with Black Sabbath by Black Sabbath on Black Sabbath.

I think Weezer had multiple albums titled "Weezer"

[–] SlurpingPus@lemmy.world 1 points 2 days ago

Six of them apparently. Not commonplace in the 2000s, but was a regular sight in the 60s. Bowie's first two albums, released two years apart, are both called 'David Bowie'.

But the black album didn't have a song titled "Metallica".

"Bad Company" is a song by the hard rock band Bad Company that was released on their debut album Bad Company in 1974.

I only remembered one, so I looked it up

https://www.thatericalper.com/2025/11/10/when-the-band-album-and-song-all-share-the-same-name/

Here's the list, in case that link is wonky

Angel Witch.
Bad Company
Bad Religion Black Sabbath.
Body Count
Bo Diddley.
Electric Wizard.
God’s Hate
Iron Maiden.
Living in a Box
Metal Church
Motörhead
Pennywise
Run the Jewels
Slowdive
The 1975
The Good, the Bad & the Queen
Tin Machine
Wilco
Rivers of Nihil

The only one I remembered was motorhead, though once I saw the list I facepalmed having forgotten several of them that I had noticed pulled a trifecta in the past.

As an honorable mention, Wilco also named a subsequent album “Schmilco”, which is just delightful

Led Zeppelin’s song Houses of the Holy isn’t on their album Houses of the Holy. It’s on Physical Graffiti, which is basically b-sides and, IMHO, better.

well fine young cannibals freshman album was fine young cannibals but no song was called that. I think this is a bit common with bands for the first album to have the bands name as a title. Almost all tull albums have a song with the same name as the album since aqualung.

Blue Öyster Cult.

I'll never forget the now long lost video of rusty cooley playing the solo from outworld.

"Hey what's up, I'm Rusty Cooley. This is the solo from the song Outworld by my band Outworld, off our new record, Outworld."
