No, self checkout lanes are the worst. The machine messes up and I have three employees descending on me from three different directions and everybody turns and stares and I have to try to explain what I was doing when their shitty machine messed up and then they check all of my items and it takes longer than if I just went through a regular lane.

In the regular lanes I only have to deal with one person who is usually doing a good job and is always in the same place and always says the same things.

Edit: also the railroad needs to cover more of the island.

This isn’t an introvert’s heart. It’s the heart of someone with depression and/or social anxiety.

If you identify with this, don’t make the mistake that this is just your “personality type” and nothing can change it.

If you’re satisfied like this, fine. If you’re miserable, treat your condition.

Introverts are, supposedly, people who need some alone time to “recharge,” not people who don’t/won’t/can’t socialize.

These labels are abused. Be careful when you identify with a label.

I think I hear what you're saying but I think there is room for it to be either things, or both.

All of this describes me: a introverted person with autism who has limited capability and capacity for socializing. I used to be miserable about it when I was younger, and now I'm happy about it. The only difference is my perspective on it.

"A normal person could never want long-term isolation from other people and enjoy actively avoiding them. That's just unhealthy and clearly a sign of depression or other mental illness." - shit extroverts say
