It's not even a tragedy by hunter "law of nature" standards. The "humans are apex predators and deserve to hunt everything" crowd seem to conviently leave out the fact that the death rate of apex predators hunting large prey is pretty damn high. You played nature's game and lost when you had the choice to stay the hell out of it, a profoundly unique privilege among animals. And I'm supposed to feel bad for you? Fuck off. If I'm not allowed to feel bad for your prey by hunter logic because "it's just nature" then it logically follows that the same standard applies to the hunter.
