Xbox has been on the right side of consumers (except for GamePass doubling in price... dropping the rise by 40% or whatever is still not enough) for a long time. (Mostly because they've been losing since Xbox One.)

Now do PlayStation. I like PlayStation more, but Sony really does not like gamers except as a revenue stream. At one point, I felt like Xbox was run by gamers. Not anymore. The big console makers are all shit now (IMO). There are a lot of indie games coming out these days, but they all require Windows, so they aren't much better, if any. Gods forbid someone not want to use Windows.

ignore consoles forever, and Linux Linux Linux Linux Linux...

all those companies that treat you like garbage, aren't welcome

I can't disagree with Linux users. I needed a new computer a few years ago, and getting a Mac made more sense than building. If I built, I was gonna go Linux. But I always wanted a Mac. So I got one. But I won't say it's better than Linux, especially ethically.

I would be surprised if there were a lot of indie games that didn't run via proton or wine on Linux.
