Very interesting! And here i was lamenting yesterday how europe has no own battery production capability and imports all of the big battery storage cells from china.

Yeah, the US put in place policy to support batteries for electric vehicles, and the policy got yanked by Republicans while the factories were going up. So a lot of them are planning to produce batteries for the stationary storage market now

What is this source?

It basically restates the content of this original article, but stated less clearly, in a way that apparently confuses GW with GWh, and blends demand for batteries themselves versus demand for grid power from batteries.
