I readily recognise that I'm old and out of touch, but I've never heard of any of "Twenty of the state’s best loved artists".
Is anyone looking at this lineup with excitement?
Below are some resources for Perth/Western Australian info that could help find the perfect story for that exceptional post.
Suggestions to add to the list are very welcome!

I'm firmly in the old and not with it camp!
I'll be elsewhere dancing to DnB.
tbh I think it's just a regular sign of American oversaturation
I recently saw a comparison between American brands and European brands and even Europeans were struggling to recognise their own local variants vs Coke/Pepsi/McDonalds/etc
Nah, there are plenty of local acts that I would think of as the States best loved artists. I don't just mean the unrealistic ones like AC/DC - they're too big to play at some hick town like Perth unless it's in the Stadium.
We have:
The Waifs, John Butler, Eskimo Joe, San Cisco, Karnovool, Hoodoo Gurus, Tame Impala, Birds of Tokyo.
(This is by no means an exhaustive list. Just pointing out that there are very different names I'd put on a 'best loved artists of WA' list)
I don’t know anyone either but I just like a day of a diverse mix of music. Went to Melbourne last weekend for Melbourne Popfest ‘26, knew barely any of the bands but was pleasantly surprised and discovered a couple of new-to-me favourites.
I haven’t been to ITP in person since 2013, that was a banger of a lineup.
Couldn’t make it in person as I have work to catch up on, so streaming it loud in an otherwise empty office. Probably for the best that it’s a Sunday, Halo of Teeth might be a bit too much for cow-orkers.
