Sneakers is the best hacker movie ever made.

Yeah but Hackers is the best movie that pretends it's about hacking

[–] Semi_Hemi_Demigod@lemmy.world 3 points 4 months ago

I think Hackers has the best depiction of hacking. Not because it’s accurate - because real hacking is boring to watch - but because they use visuals for it that are entertaining and replicate what’s going on mentally when it’s happening.

Sneakers is the best hacker movie ever made.

Correct.

Just the perfect ensemble to make that movie work.

Takedown is the most realistic hacker movie.

The only correct way to watch primer is

  1. Watch Primer
  2. Watch a YouTube video explaining it

Repeat these steps till you give up

I liked Coherence for similar reasons.

I watch Primer refuse to have it explained to me. Rather be confused every time.

I had an idea for a version of Primer where the timeline iteration of each character hovers over them while they are onscreen. This guy is from timeline 1, this other guy is from timeline 12.

I saw primer at Sundance years ago. The director want there, but some of the cast was on hand for Q/A after.

One guy asked, "What was the deal with the clones?". The cast did not know how to tell the guy he misunderstood the basic premise of the movie.

Very cool, hope it’s gonna be a nice movie night! Enjoy the headache that is trying to unravel absolutely anything in Primer ;)

Own the movie watched it at least 50 times still haven't gotten it completely figured out. Just recently watched it with my youngest son and he loved it. He says these type of movies are his favorite.

You misspelled Event Horizon

[–] x0x7@lemmy.world 3 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Definitely not hard sci-fi.

Why did you respond with violence?

[–] x0x7@lemmy.world 4 points 4 months ago

I just figured the truth was welcome here.

It's not a bad film though.
