Great episode. Turns out Yuru is way more pragmatic than I initially thought. Instead of the typical rage or despair we usually get from most shounen protagonists, he's cold and calculating, even when his world is turned upside down. It's actually kind of refreshing. I also like that, so far, there doesn't seem to be a clear villain. Sure, Asa's team basically executed every adult in the village, but it feels like she had reasons we just don't know yet.

This does seem to be decent so far, although the trite shonen paradigm of people with superpowers fighting everyone else with superpowers seems to be strong in this one.
Also, I thought Yuru or Dera or even Asa would be a lot more upset about the soldiers and Gabby killing all the innocent(?) villagers.

Done!
This enraged me.
Those foul pieces of shit murdered an entire village and now we're supposed to sympathize with them because the bitch who just casually chopped a bunch of people in half whined about how much it hurt to get shot by an arrow and supposed Asa squeezed out a few tears?
They had damned well better have a very good explanation for that.
I have a similar opinion. I'm not gonna go and sympathise/empathise with mass murderers, but it feels like they want us to.
Also, they're, including the good guys, pretty easygoing about the whole thing, which doesn't sit right with me either.
I hope there are good reasons, because right now it just feels like shonen logic.
Another great episode. Incidentally, you know how you sometimes see people from the lower world (Dera and Hana in this case) using a word and Yuru not knowing the word? That's because they're using English loan words without realizing it and of course those haven't circulated in a village that's been cut off from the rest of the world for centuries. That's why he didn't know genre (English loan word) but he did know category (種類 in the original Japanese).
