Nice. I've also seen Warehouse Luigi, Waluigi if you will.

I don't think it fits, Wario and Waluigi are hard core capitalists/bad guys. Only they have just enough morals to make them not outright villains.

So he's completely innocent? Why was this man arrested!?

District attorney's quote in the LA Times article this one sources:

Arson to me is a real head-scratcher. I do not understand ... somebody who is suspected of arson does something where they get no value out of it

He's only got half of the equation here. People generally don't premeditate actions when they expect to lose more than they'll get out of it. This story is so sad when you realize that this guy got to the point where he concluded prison couldn't be any worse. I don't think that just manifests out of thin air overnight after a couple hard days.

It's not about the value it's about sending a message. Everything burns.

Look, America is founded on free enterprise and capitalism,” said Bill Essayli, the first assistant United States attorney for the central district of California, during the press conference. “Anyone who attacks our values, our way of life, our system, which provides the best goods and services to the most people, we’re gonna come after aggressively.

Well, no it was founded by a bunch of rich aristocrats who didn't want to pay taxes, much like modern corporate America. The party you support literally ignores the founding legal document of the nation. It provides the cheapest garbage it can to most people and overcharged as much as possible, exploiting human needs as leverage to extract value. It kills and harms people constantly and is literally destroying the American way of life in the process

Like he said, America was founded on capitalism

[–] minorkeys@lemmy.world 4 points 2 months ago

So not the best goods and services? Agreed.

Massive warehouse, huge risk of injury or death to people, and of all things paper products. Time to clear cut more forests. I get the sentiment but this doesn’t actually seem productive

His motivation was about unsustainably low wages. That goes for so many of these mega corporations
