The Iranian president, Masoud Pezeshkian, said Israel’s strikes on Lebanon are a “blatant violation” of the US-Iran ceasefire agreement and their continuation would “render negotiations meaningless”.

A translation of his statement on X reads:

"Israel’s renewed incursion into Lebanon is a blatant violation of the initial ceasefire agreement. This is a dangerous sign of deception and lack of commitment to potential agreements. The continuation of these actions will render negotiations meaningless. Our fingers remain on the trigger. Iran will never abandon its Lebanese sisters and brothers."

The US and Israel maintain that the two-week ceasefire does not extend to Lebanon, where the Israeli military has launched one of its heaviest barrages of airstrikes yesterday.

Iran and Pakistan, which mediated the ceasefire, say Lebanon is included.

Over two weeks ago - on 25th of march this story was published.

Iran wants Lebanon included in any ceasefire, sources say

BEIRUT, March 25 (Reuters) - Iran has told intermediaries that Lebanon must be included in any ceasefire agreement with the United States and Israel, six regional sources familiar with Iran's position said, linking an end of the war to ‌a halt to Israel's offensive against Hezbollah. Iran's Press TV on Wednesday cited an Iranian official saying Tehran wanted any deal with the United States to secure an end to the war both on Iran and other "resistance groups" in the region.

Looks like the US and Israel are lying again

tbf the "Ceasefire agreement" if you can call it that was put together with 2 tin cans and string

As far as I can see, Trump said here are our demands for a cease fire and Iran sent Trump their list of demands for a cease fire

Trump then had a temper tantrum after 5 minutes of negotiating and said I'll destroy your whole civilisation

Iran said do it

China whispered to Iran, hey man maybe just accept this as a work in progress so we can get some oil out?

Iran then accepted the 'cease fire' and Trump did it because he gets to claim it as a win

Rockets continued to fire as it appears fighters forgot to unset the timers

Israel then said Lebanon doesn't count in the US/Iran cease fire because there is no cease fire, it looks largely like they just agreed on twitter to stop firing at each other

I never seen such a shambles

The US may say that it doesn't extend to Lebanon but the Pakistani Military Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir Trump and Hegseth got to negotiate a ceasefire with Iran said that it does.
