I've never gone but a YouTuber called Miles In Transit did a trip there using public transport and I thought he documented it pretty well
AskACanadian
A place to ask Canadians questions and get answers. The most obvious questions would be about Canada, but you can ask about pretty much anything; news, current events, society, etc
I don't intend this as an AMA format, but can entertain some. Rules:
- Be civil and act in good faith.
- No trolling.
I’m guessing from the name that this Youtuber only goes places via public transit?
And trains and such. He goes to document unusual public transit around north America or does challenges list ke crossing Canada by bus now that Greyhound isn't a thing
Interesting
I think it was two nights I stayed, when I went, around 11 years ago. It was pretty much what you'd expect out of a very quaint maritime island town, with European/French influence. Everything was in Euros, French language, culturally French (in contrast to Quebecois French). A little bit more English because of the tourism aspect. Very rainy and dreary on the day I arrived (the pontoon boat ride over was also quite rough; be wary if you're easily seasick). Next day was gorgeous, and we did a bus tour around the island, tour gide talked a little bit about the geography and history of the island(s). IIRC Miquelon is very sparsely populated so it's mostly just St. Pierre.
Nothing life changing, but worth visiting if you're close enough I'd say
