So half doesn't get recycled
Roughly half of recycled plastic collected in the UK is exported overseas, mostly to Turkey, the Netherlands and Malaysia. Exports of plastic waste to developing countries rose sharply last year.

Worldwide 90% of plastics are not actually recycled. Those recycling symbols aren't even regulated, they are just there to make consumers feel better.
Most UK plastic ends up burned in Poland.
Getting a food waste bin later in the year from our council. I already compost all food waste myself but if the bin is decent I may use that in the kitchen to store it temporarily.
Can you compost all food waste including bones and processed foods?
I don't have bones or processed foods as food waste in a quantity to matter.
