I've been given a steering committee position for Pensacola DSA out of recommendation from old steering committee, idk if I should say which position. I got there in 6 months (no Kings day being the starting point), but 4 months on paper with my dues being submitted in December

I got there by being involved in as many things the DSA was doing and even offered to help people for ideas they got going on. I attended almost every meeting available. I even attended protest and meet and greets with other organizations like Democrat election committee of Okaloosa.

I should state that there was 5 positions and 5 people so no elections. I never asked why the old guard wanted out and pursued me or the 5 others, but I suspect that there wasn't many choices and well one member resigned from their steering position do to a non profit he helped getting him a lot busier. I'm not trying to boast it was old steering committee wanted out and I'm curious what it would mean to be a steering member.

I was regular member before hand. Pensacola DSA is "barely mid size" chapter that just got it's 501c4 status.
