What is global news?

Something that happened or was uncovered recently anywhere in the world. It doesn't have to have global implications. Just has to be informative in some way.

Post guidelines

Title formatPost title should mirror the news source title. If you don't like the title of article, look for an alternative source instead of editorializing it.
URL formatPost URL should be the original link to the article (even if paywalled) and archived copies left in the body. It allows avoiding duplicate posts when cross-posting.
[Opinion] prefixOpinion (op-ed) articles must use [Opinion] prefix before the title. Opinion articles refer to articles that their publisher doesn't explictly endorse.
Country prefixCountry prefix can be added to the title with a separator (|, :, etc.) if the news is from a local publisher who doesn't clearly mention the country.

USA and Israel are disgusting

[–] zeejoo@thelemmy.club 59 points 4 months ago (2 children)

Surely this will have no negative long term consequences....

[–] SGGeorwell@lemmy.world 24 points 4 months ago (1 children)

No one would ever want revenge on us for that. No one. Ever.

[–] NatakuNox@lemmy.world 5 points 4 months ago

I know what I would do.

[–] Bloomcole@lemmy.world 1 points 4 months ago

You won't have to wait too long.
Americans will be kicked out of the Middle East in no time and and lose their vassal states too as a bonus.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 32 points 4 months ago (3 children)

The new Supreme Leader of Iran lost his father (the old Supreme Leader), his mother, his wife, and his daughter in the initial bombings.

How likely is he to negotiate with IsrAmerica in good faith? All he's going to think about for the rest of his life is revenge.

[–] assassinatedbyCIA@lemmy.world 16 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Even if he wanted to negotiate. Isramerica is not a reasonable force to negotiate with. They have attack iran while they were in the midst of negotiations twice.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 5 points 4 months ago

Valid. They aren't the problem, we are.

[–] IchNichtenLichten@lemmy.wtf 8 points 4 months ago (1 children)

I'm not sure that dumbfucks like Kegbreth understand this. Hopefully they'll be out of office in a few years, maybe they'll have a security detail but they will always be vulnerable to a determined and skilled Iranian assassin.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 8 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago) (3 children)

Oh yeah, these MAGAs are the dumbest dipshits on the planet. They literally NEVER stop to wonder what the consequences of their actions will be. They are just completely in for the initial wicked cool explosion, without ever considering the response, which is usually easily predictable. They just think the first punch will totally end it, and then they can celebrate.

Then their initial strike doesn't finish the job, because they're virtuosically incompetent, and did no planning at all, and they are shocked when rockets start coming back at them, and terrorism starts popping off in America.

And NOBODY can blame them, we would do the same thing if someone just bombed us out of the blue. In fact, we did do the same thing, when they did 9/11. We went over there and made their lives miserable for 2 decades. That's what Iran is going to do to us, and we totally deserve it. Thanks Trump.

[–] IchNichtenLichten@lemmy.wtf 4 points 4 months ago (1 children)

These clowns have failed upwards their entire miserable lives. This is what extreme privilege looks like, a bunch of frat boys who stopped maturing in high school who think they can win a war when they don't even have a clue what a win would look like.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 3 points 4 months ago

My only objections to your post is that they stopped maturing in EARLY Middle School.

[–] Bloomcole@lemmy.world 1 points 4 months ago

Both sides of your Uniparty are guilty of harrassing Iran and creating the circumstances that led to this mass murder.
Genocide Joe did not return to the nuclear deal since they deliberately added more unrealistic conditions.
He pretentiously said they needed to 'come back into compliance'.

The US regime does not tolerate countries that don't bend to their will, especially countries with oil and strategic importance.
Despite of the many innocent victims I'm glad this confrontation happens now.
It was bound to happen and since this administration is incompetent they don't know how to handle their gigantic mistake.
What is also bipartisan is the delusion of military might.
It's barely a few years since they ran in the night from their last base in Afghanistan.
Iraq has similar results, they can only remain in the Kurdish region (for now).
The US will flat out lose this conflict.
And now they made another gigantic blunder in attacking Kharg Island.

The final result will be the total retreat from the ME and possible loss of their vassal states.
The US terrorist state indeed deserves this.

when they did 9/11

Afghanistan did not do 9/11.
Even if you don't believe it was a false flag at most it was a Saudi, Bin Laden that was behind it.
The flimsy excuse for going to war was that he was somewhere in Afghanistan.

[–] bagsy@lemmy.world 1 points 4 months ago (1 children)

We want to believe they are dumb, but they managed to steal control of the most powerful nation on the planet. Someone on that side is smart whether we want to admit it or not.

[–] PhoenixDog@lemmy.world 1 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Because as fucking dumb as the MAGA administration is, a large chunk of the American population is so... SO much dumber.

[–] bagsy@lemmy.world 2 points 4 months ago (1 children)

They are dumb as shit, there is no denying. That makes their win so much more embarrasing for liberals and progressives. How did we get beat so badly by a 87 year old dementia patient with with a 75 IQ? Are we even dumber than maga?

[–] SabinStargem@lemmy.today 1 points 4 months ago

I think it is because normal people aren't excessively greedy. A recurring feature for many of our 'leaders' is that they are motivated by profit first and foremost. Schuemer and Jefferies are more than happy to roll over, if it gets them a treat from a donor.

[–] bennieandthez@lemmygrad.ml 0 points 4 months ago (1 children)

I'm not sure they believe in blood debt like the zionists do.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 4 points 4 months ago

Revenge is universal.

[–] osanna@lemmy.vg 32 points 4 months ago (2 children)

And this is how people become radicalised. Theres surely no way this guy or someone else is gonna want revenge for their loved ones being killed, right? Right?

[–] Diurnambule@jlai.lu 19 points 4 months ago (1 children)

This would immediately turn me crazy...

[–] osanna@lemmy.vg 4 points 4 months ago (3 children)

Same. I just hope someone doesn’t attack the USA. Because rhen drumpf will declare martial law and cancel elections. Then he’ll be in power until the POS dies

[–] HasturInYellow@lemmy.world 5 points 4 months ago (2 children)

No he won't. He does that, the civil war goes hot. Nothing less. No way he reigns peacefully.

[–] Jhex@lemmy.world 2 points 4 months ago (1 children)

lol yeah right… Muricans are too meek to save themselves…

[–] stink@lemmygrad.ml 1 points 4 months ago

Not just meek, but comfortable. Even the poorest are able to reap the benefits of slave labor.

[–] RalfWausE@feddit.org 0 points 4 months ago (2 children)

If civil war is inevitable, you coward Americans could already grab the guns you are oh so proud of and start using them

[–] TrickDacy@lemmy.world 3 points 4 months ago (1 children)

In another thread you stated you want innocent Americans to die so let's not pretend you want anything but that

[–] HasturInYellow@lemmy.world 1 points 4 months ago

We should have done it before he was even in office, but most people need to see things affect them personally.

[–] Diurnambule@jlai.lu 4 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago) (1 children)

I juste watch a reportage from blast about what was done by the us to iran actual leader. Ho boy we are going in a bad run. They killed his father, mother sister, brother in law, daughter of the sister in law and his son. And the day before the US negotiator with Iran was thinking that they négociation were successfully coming to an end. How can they trust the US now ? How can they even hope for a peace soon. Trump and Netanayu started a war. Only way for this to not turn in WW is for Europe sanctioning Israel. I wonder if trump will let isreal burn instead of his ass or maybe isreal have the hand so deep he can't abandon them.

[–] NotASharkInAManSuit@lemmy.world 2 points 4 months ago

There are too many True Believers^tm(cr)^ involved for Trump to abandon Israel, it would interfere with his grift, which would interfere with the grifts of others, and if there is anything in this world more important than not starting another world war it is the sanctity of grift and the pursuit of the Abrahamic armageddon. You can learn all about it in The Bible!

[–] Jhex@lemmy.world 1 points 4 months ago

he is already doing that

[–] bennieandthez@lemmygrad.ml 2 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago)

If not him, there will be many others. A lebanese man in the US already took matters into his own hands after his whole family was murdered by Israel in Lebanon. Who could've guessed that zionist actions would endanger jews all around the world, it's almost as if it was the whole staatsraison of Israel.

[–] swelter_spark@reddthat.com 11 points 4 months ago

How devastating.

[–] FreudianCafe@lemmy.ml 10 points 4 months ago (1 children)
[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 5 points 4 months ago

and thats how israel instigated thier continued financial and military support, by maintaining the cycle of violence.

[–] melsaskca@lemmy.ca 9 points 4 months ago (1 children)

There will be more people with vengeance in their heart and nothing to lose. I think trump should have just admitted his pedophiliac rapist actions, then there would have been a war of justice against rich white pedophiliacs. trump could have done something great for once, but he chose war as a masquerade. My heart goes out to this guy who lost his family and to all who suffer under this hateful dilettante.

[–] AcidiclyBasicGlitch@sh.itjust.works 7 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago) (1 children)

there would have been a war of justice against rich white pedophiliacs. trump could have done something great for once, but he chose war as a masquerade.

Because he is a rich white pedophiliac. He made a choice because that's his tribe. That's who he cares about and protects before America or even his MAGA base. They see everyone who isn't part of club Ped as disposable. It's clear just reading about the disgusting photos in those files. Not only were they doing all these horrific things, they felt the need to document it so they could look back on it and remember whenever they wanted.

They have no empathy for anyone else. The more fucked up it is, the more they get off on it. They view themselves as Gods, and truly believe others are born and exist only to serve them and die when they decide.

[–] WorldsDumbestMan@lemmy.today 2 points 4 months ago

Please leave their brains in jars for me, so I can figure out what AI torture program to burry their preserved brains wth.

[–] Spacehooks@reddthat.com 8 points 4 months ago

Ill keep saying this is how you may the Joker. Take everything away from someone and all they have left is rage.

[–] Bazell@lemmy.zip 6 points 4 months ago (2 children)

I wouldn't wonder if someone will crash a car full of explosives into some governmental building in the USA soon.

[–] bennieandthez@lemmygrad.ml 2 points 4 months ago

Would be poetic too, thats how hezbollah kicked away USrael from it's country.

[–] Bloomcole@lemmy.world 1 points 4 months ago (1 children)

That is not Iran's style.
They fight fair and don't bomb schools like the US or their genocider friends.
I could already smell the false flag when the media mouthpieces start talking about sleeper cells etc.
This war is not popular, something needs to happen to change that.
At the same time Shitrael wants Europe to help in this illegal war, also unpopular.
Now suddenly there are attempts on synagogues here.
No casualties of course.
Mossad's been busy manufacturing consent.

[–] Bazell@lemmy.zip 1 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Well... I haven't said that Iran would do it. I meant that some madlad may want to do an act of terrorism to show hate towards the US government.

[–] Bloomcole@lemmy.world 1 points 4 months ago

In the context I assumed it was implied.
As the media mouthpieces are already priming the public with 'leaked' reports.

[–] spacecadet@hexbear.net 6 points 4 months ago

Absolutely unforgivable
