It's alright. It's worth $4, not the worst game I've played haha.

I welcome any feedback, just trying to do my part into building the community---
I bought mass effect on steam like 15 years ago. It was actually the first game I bought on steam. Why should I buy it again?
This is the newer game Andromeda. It's based on a different faction of humans than the ones in the originals in the trilogy.
My mistake. I thought it was the remake, which is also on deep discount.
Criticisms aside, there's no way it's not worth $4.
Worth $4. May not be worth completion, but worth $4. Play till you get bored then never return. Prepare for shitty character model textures and empty planets full of nothing.
Devs spent all their time trying to shortcut in randomly generative content only to succeed in getting fuck-all done with it. Having made a product they knew was shit, they made a hard u-turn back to actually hand crafting content but by then there was no where near enough time so they wound up delivering some quarter-baked trash.
Obviously the story is... not so good compared to the original trilogy. But I did enjoy the combat. Being able to jump and dash in the air made it feel a lot more fast paced in combat generally than the focus on cover the og trilogy had. Still the shittiest of the 4 games though.
Anything requiring 3rd party clients/DRM is a hard no from me.
Incorporates 3rd-party DRM: EA on-line activation and Origin client software installation and background use required.
Not even if they paid me.
I've got the whole Mass Effect series on my wishlist, waiting for the day this shit is removed. If it never is... Well, there are plenty of other games to play.
And also PS3 emulation is pretty good these days.
Does it work on Linux? I don't really want to fuck with EA so I'll probably pass anyway.
