Background: Jimmy Lai (Wikipedia) is a criminally convicted Liberal (Libertarian?) British Citizen who has multiple businesses and dealings in Hong Kong, is a Trump ally, and has been vocally vitriolic towards the CPC, including telling a former Premier to "Drop dead".
