TL;DR: Elegoo has been promising an AMS/MMU multicolor system for months, and all of the sales pages up until a short while ago promised this capability. A couple weeks ago, they pulled the promise of "Q3 2025" for its release from their website and all marketing materials. Today, they sent a message to all owners all but confirming this is a rug pull situation and the AMS is no longer coming out:

They have since released an ENTIRELY NEW PRINTER called the Centauri Carbon 2, which has an AD5X-style MMU system on it. This system and printer are an entirely different design and are similar but completely incompatible with the original Centauri Carbon.
They are pathetically offering buyers of the CC1 "$80 off" the CC2 when it comes out.
Anyway, my 2c is avoid this company entirely. I believe this is the second time they've done this, they did something similar with one of their Saturn printers.
