It's too bad Firefox doesn't work best at ~~anything~~ some things
Edit: I know there's a lot of Firefox fanboys, and I'm anti Google too, but ever time I try to use Firefox, it's broken in so many ways. They still haven't fixed the address bar on Linux after years
Edit: I had a typo in my post, I meant to say "some things" not "anything". That's what I get for typing on a phone.

...explain? Been using it for years and have never noticed a problem or difference versus Mac/windows/android versions.
Edit: and no, it doesn't make me a fanboy to say any of this. I use Firefox every day and cannot really think of any way in which it's broken, let alone "in so many ways".

Same. Which is why I'm qualified to say you're lying. Well, that and the fact that you refuse to explain what's so broken about the address bar that is in no way broken.
Maybe I'm not using the address bar on other browsers / OS's to its full potential, but what is the problem with Firefox's address bar on Linux?

I've literally never seen that. That post is from years ago too so I'm far from convinced it was more than just a blip.

You're using an unusual desktop environment or something it would seem. Why haven't I seen that, ever, in several different distros and DEs? You truly are willing to call a software trash because it doesn't support a niche setup..?
What do you get for being a pedantic ass arguing people's lived experiences on the internet? Seriously? Do you seriously feel butt hurt when someone has a bad experience with something you like, so you make it your life mission to attack and invalidate them? It's sad, just stop.
I'm not attacking a lived experience. I'm saying that you're wrong that Firefox is completely broken. It isn't. You revealed one thing that is arguably a bug. Instead of understanding that most people never experience that, you choose to spout off and invalidate millions of hours of effort toward a more open Internet. This one thing that literally might not even be a Firefox problem doesn't mean it's entirely broken, even if it is 100% a FF bug.
Ah yes, disagree-ers are silly "fanboys" who use Firefox despite how absolute trash it is. I just have to use chrome I really don't have a choice :(

I just realized now this is the Firefox community, so I deserve my downvotes.
I tried switching to Firefox several times, but buggy address bar, performance, features, lack of extensions, and dev tools kind of all played into me not using it.
I'm running Hyprland, and before I was on Gnome (wayland). I'm not doing anything to the browser, I like things vanilla. I just need tab hibernation that works, a page monitor extension (distill), workspaces, and dev tools that work well.
Maybe stop using a meme WM?
