If you haven't seen the movie War Games, please do. Pirate it if you have to.
This is more of a Dr. Strangelove situation.
We watched War Games in high school, I had to look this one up. It's got great reviews: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dr._Strangelove
Yes, War Games is about the dangers of automating everything (a relatively lighthearted precursor to Terminator), but Dr. Strangelove is what happens when literally crazy people are in charge.
I'll give it a go. Thanks for the recommendation.
Obligatory: "GENTLEMEN! You can't fight here! This is a war room!"
Yeah, crazy people. Neurotypicals would never act like that. No siree. Now where did I leave my gun, I've got to defend my country by strafing some civilians from a helicopter. It would be unpatriotic not to.
Even if you've never seen it, you've likely seen bits. Slim Pickens riding a nuke to detonation. Peter Sellers is good in almost everything he was in. And Kubrick, anything Kubrick is worth watching at least once. Full Metal Jacket, the shining, clockwork orange, 2001.
Paths of Glory, quiet and devastating.
What year was is released? I'm seeing several movies with war games in the title.
They're probably talking about WarGames (1983) with Matthew Broderick.
