Im still on win10. How difficult is it to swap over to win10 ltsc?
Buy a key, download the ISO from the usual places, and install. Like doing a clean install of Windows 10. There are some desktop apps that it doesn't have but you can download them and just use them or you can use third party apps. Most of the telemetry and adware isn't installed and it actually costs less the ESU and will get updates until 2028/2032 for the IoT (Internet of Things) edition which uses the same key.

I haven't done a fresh install of Win10 in... a long time. I'll have to backup my data obviously. And I'll have to download and re-install all of my applications and programs, right? I have some that... I 🏴☠️ and the sources may not be available any longer.
If security updates for Win10 LTSC end this coming January would it be advisable to just wait on Win10 until then? I'm guessing after that point I would have no choice than to "upgrade" to Win11 🤮
you can modify ent to install as an upgrade, even from 7 or 8. iirc, it's just a text file inside a wim in the iso.
